IFBP ANNOUNCES THE 2008 OFFICAL

The International Federation of Black Prides, Inc. (IFBP) is pleased to announce the 10th Annual 2008 IFBP Official Black Pride Schedule. Twentyeight Black Pride events are listed on the 2008 calendar including Little Rock, Arkansas appearing for the first time. ''We are ready excited about this year's Black Pride schedule as there will be a number of nationwide education initiatives by the IFBP,'' according to Earl Fowlkes, IFBP President/CEO. Two of the major initiatives being planned by the IFBP thru member organizations are HIV/AIDS Prevention & Testing and Blackout 2008 which will promote voter education and registration.
The IFBP is a coalition of twenty eight Black Pride organizers formed to promote a multinational network of LGBT/Same Gender Loving Pride and community based organizations dedicated to building solidarity, health and wellness, promoting unity, and ensuring the development of education, economic empowerment, and individual and collective work, responsibility, and self determination. The IFBP is a non profit founded in 1999. Over 300,000 people attended Black Pride events and activities in the United States in 2007.
